RULES OF VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION IN AKPRO

Volunteer
Volunteer is someone who is willing to offer service or help without expecting any profit.

Volunteering
All over the world, everyday, people volunteer their time, energy and talents;
Millions of people, of all ages, are involved;
The hours given are measured in billions, generating enormous social capital;
A growing number of volunteers work at national and international levels.

Volunteering Is
An expression of human values of caring and helping;
A route to self-confidence and self-esteem;
A means of connecting with others and breaking down of barriers;
A way of making a difference.

AKPRO's Registered Volunteer Programme

I Who are AKPRO's Registered Volunteers?
AKPRO'S registered volunteers are those volunteers who have registered in AKPRO and take part in activities of AKPRO.

II People with following qualities can apply to become registered volunteer of AKPRO:
1. Age above 18, interested in causes good for the people of Chinese ethnic minorities;
2. Be available to contribute some of his/her time, energy and talents;
3. Would like to do some work or provide services/help to Chinese ethnic minorities without asking for payment or making profit.

III AKPRO will provide to its registered volunteers:
1. Training that are necessary to accomplish the assignment;
2. Necessary conditions during the accomplishment of the assignment;
3. Priority to participate in other activities organized by AKPRO.

IV Volunteers have the following responsibilities:
1. Provide volunteer service or help;
2. Give AKPRO feedback and suggestion about voluntary work;
3. Follow instruction and direction of AKPRO;
4. Take training provided by AKPRO;
5. Not to do anything for profit or against social ethics in the name of volunteering;
6. Return to AKPRO volunteer identification ( name ) badge and all other items belonging to AKPRO upon completion of volunteer services.

V Application and registration process
Registration is in written form, you can apply individually or with a group, and the process is:
1. Fill in the Application Form;
2. AKPRO would check the Application Forms and send Registration Form ( with Registration No.) to the ones selected;
3. After receiving the Registration Form undersigned, AKPRO will send to each registered volunteer an identification ( name ) badge.

VI About the administration of the registration number of volunteers:
Administration of the registration number of volunteers is an important part of Registered Volunteer Programme of AKPRO. Each volunteer can only register once, and his/her registration number will be kept for permanent use. In case, the volunteers that have registered quitted, his/her registration number will not be used again in principle.

VII Badge of Registered Volunteer
The badge of each registered volunteer is an important symbol of his/her volunteering identity of AKPRO. And it is kept by the volunteers who should wear it when volunteering at AKPRO. When volunteers quit or finishes his/her volunteering assignment, the badge would be returned to AKPRO.

VIII Interaction between volunteers and AKPRO:
AKPRO will organize different kinds of volunteering activities that will be informed directly to its registered volunteers and at the same time publicized on AKPRO's web. Meanwhile AKPRO will keep records of volunteers, and make evaluation annually. There will be “honoree of each year”.
